On the occasion of the UN International Day dedicated to Albinism, in the garden of the Casetta Rossa in Garbatella, the graphic novel "Badù and the enemy of the sun" will be presented, published by Tunué, together with the spokesperson of Amnesty International Italia.
The book tells the story of Badù, a boy who lives in an imaginary town of Sub-Saharan Africa at the end of the colonial period, and his friend Armand de Bernier.
In a world populated by a melancholy sorceress, an old and disillusioned street teacher, a commissioner asks of the brave young men, Badù and Armand to investigate a case of disappearance and the investigation will be a pretext to tell the story situation of albinism in Africa, where people with albinism are the object of ancient times superstitions according to which they are endowed with magical powers, a belief that even today determines discrimination and a real persecution.
Francesca Ceci and Christian B. Bouah, screenwriters, and Riccardo Noury, spokesperson for Amnesty International Italia will all attend.
